About FCC

Crisis Committee (FCC)

The Crisis Committee (FCC) is an advanced, unscripted committee that places delegates in rapidly evolving scenarios where decisions must be made in real time. Unlike traditional committees, FCC is driven by dynamic updates and unexpected events that shape the course of debates. This committee is best suited for experienced delegates who can think critically, speak persuasively, and act under pressure.

Daniel Feng
Daniel Feng
Chair
As a current student in his Senior year at Southpointe Academy, Daniel Feng is proud to serve as Chair for FCC for SPAMUN 2025. Since walking into his first conference in grade 8, repeatedly trying and bumbling through his improvised speeches, Daniel has always had a great passion for MUN. From public speaking skills to late nights working on position and resolution papers to the heavy reliance on caffeine, there is no shortage of cherished experiences that MUN has provided. Now, he hopes to do the same for future delegates on their unique MUN journeys. Outside of committee rooms, he can be found taking a deep dive into various fictional media, content and lore. Frequently illustrating and analyzing myths and legends of ancient civilizations, and researching modern history. Daniel looks forward to creating a rich and educational experience at SPAMUN 2025.
Caitlyn Chen
Caitlyn Chen
Director
Heading into her senior year at Southpointe Academy, Caitlyn is ecstatic to serve as the director of FCC for SPAMUN 2025. Ever since her first conference in Grade 8 (which happens to be SPAMUN 2021), where she participated in the heated debates, formed blocs, and listened to the lively crisis committees, MUN has become a passion that continues to grow. Over these three years, MUN helped her form friendships that last long after the conference has ended, allowing her to expand her worldly views and create irreplaceable memories. The morning runs to Starbucks, the late night talks, and storming other committee rooms will always hold a special place in her heart. She hopes to help make this year’s iteration of SPAMUN an unforgettable one, creating new experiences for advanced delegates and first time experiences for beginner delegates. Outside of Model UN, she can be found with her nose in a book, being a couch potato, trying not to wake her parents up while practicing clarinet at midnight or playing basketball.
Jonathan Zhou
Jonathan Zhou
Assistant Director
As a grade 11 student at Steveston-London Secondary School, Jonathan is thrilled to serve as the assistant director of FCC for SPAMUN 2025. Jonathan discovered his passion for MUN in 2023 and has strived to become a better delegate since then. Every experience he has had in MUN has become a learning experience for him, and he is excited for what the future has. He has many memorable MUN experiences, such as discussing ideas with friends in the hotel room for the whole night. In his free time, Jonathan is found hanging out with friends and procrastinating on his work. Jonathan looks forward to the exciting ideas the delegates will bring to this conference and wishes them all the best.
