Fictional Joint Crisis Committee (FJCC)

Fictional Joint Crisis Committee

FJCC's offer a unique committee experience. Run with the original Crisis Rules of procedure, groups are split into different committees or blocs. They run alongside each other timeline wise, and are affected by each bloc's choices and decisions. The quick pace and unforeseeable nature of the FJCC is one that creates an original simulation and experience.

Committee Topic

Hunger Games

The FJCC offers a unique and challenging experience that simulates real-world crisis situations with multiple committees running simultaneously. Delegates must quickly analyze information, form alliances, and make critical decisions that can dramatically alter the course of events across different blocs.

Key aspects of the FJCC include:

  • Multiple committees or blocs running simultaneously
  • Timeline-wise decisions affecting other committees
  • Split groups with different objectives
  • Quick pace and unforeseeable developments
  • Original Crisis Rules of procedure
Fictional Joint Crisis Committee

In the FJCC, delegates will face unexpected challenges across multiple committees, receive real-time updates, and must respond to rapidly changing circumstances. The committee's dynamic nature means that no two sessions will be the same, providing an exciting and unpredictable experience for all participants. Delegates must be prepared to think on their feet, work under pressure, and make decisions that could have far-reaching consequences across different blocs.

Success in the FJCC requires delegates to develop several key skills:

  • Quick analysis of complex situations across multiple committees
  • Effective communication under pressure in different blocs
  • Strategic alliance building between committees
  • Adaptive problem-solving with timeline-wise decisions
  • Leadership in crisis situations across multiple groups

Allen Wang
Allen Wang
Crisis Overlord
Going into his final year at Steveston-London Secondary School, Allen is ecstatic to serve as the Crisis Overlord of the Fictional Joint Crisis Committee at SPAMUN 2026. Two iterations of SPAMUN ago, when he was a few thousand dollars richer and far less sleep deprived, Allen made the questionable decision to step into the world of Model United Nations, where he mustered up the courage to deliver a 30-second SSL speech with more holes than a block of cheese. Since then, Allen has made many more hole-filled speeches, often recycling and overusing his “hilarious” one-liner openings. When he’s not pulling all-nighters in his hotel room or traumatizing his roommates with DIY chemistry experiments, he can usually be heard echoing his post-committee catchphrase: “I’m cooked.” Outside of the committee room, Allen can be found at the Olympic Oval getting beaten by his friends at basketball, feeding his unhealthy Buldak addiction, or side questing around Vancouver. Allen wishes all delegates the best of luck and looks forward to meeting everyone at SPAMUN 2026.

Jonathan Zhou
Jonathan Zhou
FJCC A Chair
Graduating from Steveston-London Secondary School this year, Jonathan is delighted to serve as the Chair for FJCC-A at SPAMUN 2026. Jonathan had his first MUN experience at SPAMUN 2 years ago, and since then, has been captivated by the atmosphere of these conferences. The main priority of these conferences is to have fun, and meet new people, and Jonathan always makes sure to do that. Jonathan can usually be seen eating at many different dessert spots, binging a bunch of movies, or having continuous dopamine boosts from social media. Jonathan is excited to see what all the delegates bring to the table at SPAMUN 2026, and hopes everyone will have a memorable experience.
Juri Matsuda
Juri Matsuda
FJCC A Director
In her senior year at Little Flower Academy, Juri is honoured to serve as the Director for FJCC-A at SPAMUN 2026. She first discovered Model UN two years ago, and since then, she’s gone from a rookie delegate to a MUN club leader, staying up until 5 a.m. cramming research, and collecting enough funny conference memories to last a lifetime. When Juri isn’t buried in resolutions, you can find her listening to Bixby, eating fried chicken, or singing in the shower (a Grammy-worthy performance, in her opinion). She also drags herself out of bed at 5:30 a.m. four days a week for choir and has a not-so-secret talent for tripping down the stairs. At SPAMUN 2026, Juri is most excited to see delegates grow throughout the day, transforming from nervous first-timers into confident speakers proudly stepping out of their last committee session (ideally without tripping).
Charlie Sung
Charlie Sung
FJCC A Assistant Director
As an upcoming senior at Southpointe Academy, Charlie is ecstatic to be Assistant Director of FJCC. In his third year of doing MUN Charlie is excited to step into the new world of staffing. From running to the nearest Big Way to being late to almost all of his committee sessions. Outside of MUN Charlie can be found grinding on his startup, playing brawl stars with his friends during lunch, and skipping air cadets. Charlie has always enjoyed the unforgettable memories that MUN has brought him, including making some of his best friends, and most importantly heated crisis committees. While you're in Delta for SPAMUN Charlie recommends that you check the Tsawwassen Mills nearby.
Kaveer Lally
FJCC B Chair
As a grade 11 student at Southpointe Academy, Kaveer is excited to serve as the Chair for the Fictional Joint Crisis Committee B (FJCC-B) at SPAMUN 2026. He was initially introduced to MUN by a family member 3 years ago and has since developed a strong passion for MUN which has led to his return time after time. Kaveer is looking forward to a committee filled with fruitful debate, creative solutions, and intense discussions. Outside of the committee room, Kaveer can be found playing basketball, spending time with family, and travelling or seeing new things. Kaveer wishes you all the best with your preparations and is looking forward to meeting you all at SPAMUN 2026!
Japser Zhong
Japser Zhong
FJCC B Director
Confined within the halls of Steveston-London Secondary School for one last year, Jasper is absolutely ecstatic to serve as the Director of the JCC-B committee at SPAMUN 2026. Ever since his first committee session at a SPAMUN iteration 2 years ago, Jasper has been mesmerized by the spirited atmosphere of committees as delegates evolve to come up with ever more creative ways to start their speeches. Every word spoken has compounded into unforgettable memories, irrefutable growth, and fuel for his never-ending passion for diplomacy. When decisively procrastinating on something important, Jasper can be spotted near various food spots, doomscrolling across various platforms, or playing badminton. For the upcoming iteration of SPAMUN, Jasper eagerly awaits a weekend filled with passionate debate and wishes all delegates the best of luck!
